Best Hunan Chicken Recipes

We love spicy chicken and Hunan province is not any exception. If you wish yours less spicy, reduce the quantity of chilis and sambal oelek.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 tbsp. canola oil, divided
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs, turn over 1" items
  • 1" piece ginger, minced
  • 1 massive head broccoli, turn over little florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 4 four-6 dried chilis
  • 2 tbsp. sherry
  • 1/4 c. low-sodium soy
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tsp. sambal oelek
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • Rice, for serving

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a massive cooking pan over medium heat, heat a pair of tbsp oil. Add chicken and fry till hard-baked through, seven minutes then take away from pan.
  2. Heat remaining oil in same pan. Add ginger and cook till scented, one minute then add broccoli, bell pepper, and red chilis. Cook till vegetables area unit tender, 5 minutes. 
  3. In a little bowl mix fortified wine, soy sauce, cornstarch, sambal oelek, and oil. increase pan and simmer till sauce thickens, 3 minutes. Add chicken back to pan and toss to coat. Serve over rice.
