Fried Wontons Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound ground pork, chicken or turkey
- 1/4 pound shrimp, shredded into little items
- 1/2 teaspoon soy (or fish sauce)
- 1/2 teaspoon oil
- 3 dashes ground white pepper
- 1 pack wonton wrappers
- water, for waterproofing
- vegetable oil, for deep sauteing
- In a bowl, combine the bottom pork, shrimp, soy sauce, oil and white pepper along. Stir to mix well to make a sticky filling.
- To wrap the wontons, lay a chunk of the wonton wrapper on your palm and add 1/2 tablespoon of the filling within the middle of the wrapper. (Use one teaspoon filling if you're a beginner.) Dip your finger into the waterproofing water and trace it on the outer edges of the wonton wrapper.
- You can wrap the wontons 3 ways. to form a triangle, simply fold it up to make a triangle.
